I'm going to make this journal Friends Only tommorow, along with my second entry, so this serves partly as a FO post, for information. But mostly I want this to serve as an introduction.

For my old friends

Why did I get a new LJ? I'd tried to restart in my old LJ many times. However it carried so much of my old self, and since I hadn't written in it for ages, not much of my new self. I'm not deleting it, never. It carries such a great reminder of those years and that's part of the reason I came back to LJ, I want a reminder of these years.

Why is it alluring cliche? That's my LastFM name and more and more I idenitfy with it. We all like to think we're original, but we can never be completely. There are millions of people in this world and we're all made of one cliche or another. Quiet, smart, loud, with attitude, funny, rebel, even different. What we try to do, I think is be alluring or fascinating, and leave something to people and the world. That's me an alluring cliche. ;) Quite fun thing to be actually.

For my new friends

Who am I? Beth's the name. I'm quite silly at times, expressive, creative, smart. I love to write, I love the rain, I like to read, hang out with friends, watch TV. Normal things really. This is where I vent and express myself.

Fave TV Shows? I'm watch too much TV I admit. Grey's Anatomy- love the drama and the music, how to saaave a life. Veronica Mars- excellent show, love the mysteries and Logan is my fave, I'm a sucker for bad boys and sidekicks. Lost- what can I say, it's just addictive. And lately the OC- the 4th season is hillarious.

Fave Books? I'm into fantasy, I'm obsessed with the Harry Potter books, I loved His Dark Materials (Phillip Pullman) and I recently read Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card)- science fiction, also makes it's way up there. I also love romance and Looking For Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, and The Truth about Forever top my realistic fiction list.

Fave Movies? I just saw Dreamgirls and loved it. Also loved the Holiday, I love quirky comedy romances like that. Fantasies like the LOTR movies, HP movies, and POTC movies rank high on my list. Remember the Titans is love.
